Airport Adventures

I know I've written a blog about this on Facebook before but I guess it just goes to show how much I enjoy watching people in the airport.

Mike and I are sitting at the Wichita airport waiting for our flight to Dallas where we will then take a connecting flight to Seattle. It took us about 45 minutes to get checked in and through security and I have been enjoying watching the people come and go ever since.

The best thing I have seen so far though was something similar to this.

A wife and mother-in-law welcomed their soldier home as we sat here and it was a wonderful sight to see. Everyone at the gate started clapping and you couldn't help but be a proud American.

This is fun - it made me smile.

Back When

I know I've referenced a country song several times in the last few blogs but they just fit so well.

Tim McGraw sings a song called "Back When" that talks about how he misses the days when things meant just what they were, no hidden meanings and no catches. I hate innuendos and was reminded of that today. I wish I could say things confidently knowing that there isn't a hidden meaning behind it. I also wish I could keep some feeling of innocence without being ignorant. Then again, maybe the people who come up with the hidden meanings are the ignorant ones.

I miss back when.

It's called CHRISTmas

I heard this on my way to work and then found the video at home. Pay attention to the words, not the video, I think they hit the nail on the head.

Enjoy and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

The Good Stuff

If you've ever heard Kenny Chesney's song "The Good Stuff" you know that when it comes to drinks in that song, the good stuff is milk. Based on the fact that Mike and I REALLY like 'the good stuff', I have to the conclusion long ago that Mike and I need to buy a cow.

You see, we both enjoy drinking milk, A LOT. On average, we go through almost a gallon of milk a day and it seems like we're constantly making a trip to the store to buy more. We have learned to watch the grocery store prices on milk because they'll often drop the prices to $2.99/gallon and when their milk isn't on sale, we go to Walgreens because it's cheaper than at the store.

Reality is, we'll never get a cow but as Mike puts it, "there are far worse habits and we'll never have to worry about breaking a bone".

Here we go...

I have lots of friends who do the blog "thing" and I enjoy reading them. I always post on Facebook (and have lots of ideas and thoughts and random ramblings that I always plan on posting but never get around to) and lately, I thought it was time to upgrade so here I go!

Now, you would hope that with the beginning of my blog, I'd have a great topic but I don't. Right now, it's very cold outside and misting. We're supposed to get rain and snow in the next few days and I'm very excited because it gives me a great excuse to stay in sweats all day long, go nowhere and do hardly anything productive. :-)
