• the beautiful fall weather
• a fun night at home with Mike
• knowing our families will be here in a few weeks for Thanksgiving

I'm a day late because we had a great dinner date with our neighbors last night.

I'm thankful for:

• the constant source of reason Mike is in my life, especially when my mind starts wandering and thinking of all things future and trying to plan too much when I really just need to let God do the planning
• my wonderful college girlfriends - I can't tell you how thankful I am to be associated with such Godly women.

• continued peace that I'm exactly where I need to be right now, despite momentary times of unrest
• predictions of cooler weather that are just days away
• the fact that today is my Friday

Wow, I can't believe how quickly this week has gone by!

I'm thankful for:

• getting to see my family this weekend
• beautiful clouds that followed the almost-rain today
• the fact that it's almost August, which means Fall and cool weather are just around the corner

• people who leave a lasting legacy. Coach Jackson went to college with my Dad and was my 6th grade gym teacher. He was very much the disciplinarian who obviously loved his students dearly
• the rain that is headed our way this weekend
• being able to help others

• busy days at work
• new clothes
• lots of tomatoes on our plants that are almost ready to be picked and savored
• the coffee that Mike's parents brought us from Hawaii (chocolate macadamia nut, yum!)

• for the beautiful weather we're having - nothing like sitting out on the deck at the end of the day
• that tomorrow is Friday - for a short week, it sure has been long
• for another weekend with family in town, even it it isn't for long

• a four day weekend (YAHOO!)
• the opportunity Mike and I had to see The Eagles on Thursday night. AMAZING. I would go again in a heartbeat.

• the rain we've had the last week - the small break in the heat was wonderful
• knowing that next Thursday, I get to hear Erin Bode sing for the first time in far too long

Day 4 and Thankful Thursdays

They'll be done tomorrow! They have to spray the ceiling, put a second coat of stain on the trim, and put the baseboards down. Yahoo!

• the surprise rain we got this afternoon
• the basement almost being done and getting to put my house back in order soon
• the three day weekend ahead
• the three tomatoes I have growing on one of my plants (this is a big accomplishment for me) :-)
